Your rights
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). To exercise these rights, or for any other questions about your personal data, contact us using the details above.
Some data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw consent at any time; an informal notification by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to object: Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right under Art. 21 GDPR to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI Baden-Württemberg), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
Health information
This website deals with a health topic. Information about your health – for example symptoms you describe in a message or answers you enter in a self-assessment – is a special category of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR. We only process such data where you have given your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). Please only share health information with us where it is necessary for your enquiry. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Self-assessment
Our website offers a self-assessment questionnaire. Your answers are evaluated only in your browser. They are not transmitted to us or to third parties, and they are not stored. The result is deleted as soon as you close or reload the page.
Information on the online services offered on this website
Server log files
Our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits to us: page visited, date and time of the request, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and error-free provision of our website and in preventing and investigating misuse and security incidents. The log data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for these purposes.
Cookies and consent
Our website uses cookies and comparable technologies. Technically necessary cookies that are strictly required to provide the service you have requested are used on the basis of Section 25(2) TDDDG; any related processing of personal data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. For all other cookies and technologies, we obtain your consent beforehand: access to your device is then based on Section 25(1) TDDDG and the subsequent processing on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. You can also restrict or delete cookies in your browser; this may limit the functionality of the website.
Usercentrics (consent management)
We use the consent management platform of Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Germany, to obtain, manage and document your consent. For this purpose, the date and time of access, browser and device information, IP address, your consent choices and the URL of the page visited are processed. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR (obligation to demonstrate consent). Usercentrics acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR; processing generally takes place within the EU/EEA. More information: https://usercentrics.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung/.

When you use our website, Wix processes in particular IP addresses and technical usage and communication data. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Wix pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in the secure and stable provision of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to Wix.com Ltd. in Israel are covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR); transfers to Wix.com Inc. in the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework to the extent covered by the certification, supplemented by appropriate safeguards. Wix Analytics
With your consent, we use Wix Analytics to understand how visitors use our website – for example device type, browser, pages visited and time spent, traffic sources and approximate location based on a shortened IP address. We use this information to improve our website. Wix Analytics is activated only after you have consented via our consent banner (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
Contact and enquiry forms (HubSpot)
Our contact and enquiry forms are provided by HubSpot, Inc., 25 First Street, Cambridge, MA 02141, USA; HubSpot Ireland Limited, 1 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland, also operates in Europe. The data you enter – in particular your name, email address and message – is stored so that we can process your enquiry and answer follow-up questions. We do not disclose this data without your consent.
If your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest being to respond to your enquiry. Where we ask for your consent in the form (for example for further information), Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR applies. If your message contains information about your health, the section "Health information" above applies.
With your consent via our consent banner, HubSpot also uses cookies to recognise returning visitors and link form submissions to page visits (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time via the cookie settings.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with HubSpot pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. HubSpot, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; to the extent a transfer is covered by this certification, it is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR), supplemented by the safeguards in the HubSpot data processing agreement. We keep your data until you request erasure, withdraw your consent or the purpose no longer applies; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. More information: https://legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.
Third-party services and content
We integrate content and services from third-party providers, such as videos, maps or widgets. Displaying such content always requires the provider to receive your IP address. Providers may also use cookies or pixel tags for statistical or marketing purposes. Where this is not technically necessary, the content is only loaded after you have given your consent via our consent banner; the specific legal bases are stated in the sections below.
Elfsight widgets
We use widgets from Elfsight, LLC, to embed interactive content such as [reviews / social media feeds / forms] on our website. When a widget is loaded, your IP address, device information and usage data may be processed by Elfsight and, depending on the widget, by the provider of the embedded content. The widgets are loaded only after you have given your consent via our consent banner (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Elfsight pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Where data is transferred to countries outside the EEA, this takes place in accordance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, in particular on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: https://elfsight.com/privacy-policy/.
YouTube
We embed videos from YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; the parent company is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Videos are activated only after you have consented via our consent banner. Upon activation, your IP address, device and usage information may be transmitted to Google and cookies may be used. The legal basis is Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; you may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
Google Maps
We embed maps from Google Maps, provided by Google Ireland Limited (address above). Maps are activated only after you have consented via our consent banner. Upon activation, your IP address and, if you allow this in your device settings, your location data may be transmitted to Google and cookies may be used. The legal basis is Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; you may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
For both services, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, supplemented where necessary by Standard Contractual Clauses. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Ads and conversion tracking
We use Google Ads, provided by Google Ireland Limited (address above). If you reach our website via a Google ad, a conversion cookie is set that expires after 30 days. It tells Google and us that you clicked an ad and were redirected to our website; we receive only aggregated statistics and no information that identifies you personally. Conversion tracking is activated only after you have consented via our consent banner (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited (address above), to manage the tags on our website – for example for Google Ads. Tag Manager itself does not set cookies for its own purposes, but processes technical information such as your IP address and device information and may transmit it to Google. Tags that set cookies or access your device and are not technically necessary are only triggered after you have given your consent via our consent banner (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Which data those tags process is described in the relevant sections of this policy. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Web fonts
We use web fonts (including Google Fonts) for consistent display. The font files are delivered from the servers of our website provider Wix and are not retrieved from Google servers, so no personal data is transferred to Google for this purpose and no consent is required.
Newsletter
We only send newsletters with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 7(2) No. 3 UWG). Registration uses a double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you receive an email asking you to confirm. We log the time of registration and confirmation and your IP address so that we can demonstrate your consent. Providing your email address is sufficient; we may ask for your name to address you personally.
We send the newsletter using HubSpot as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR (see "Contact and enquiry forms" above for provider details and data transfers). Our newsletters contain a web beacon that records whether and when a newsletter is opened and which links are clicked, so we can improve our content. This measurement cannot be withdrawn separately; to stop it, unsubscribe from the newsletter.
You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter. After unsubscribing, we keep your email address for up to three years on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to be able to demonstrate your earlier consent; this data is used only to defend against claims. You can request earlier erasure if you confirm that you had consented.
